The first semifinals of COPA AMERICA 2019 , was held between Brazil(hosts) vs Argentina resulting a 2-0 stunners on scoreboard, leading the Argentines to another heart break . Argentines were the runner up for the past two editions of COPA AMERICA,but yet they can't make it this time. Brazil as usual played their own game with world class tactics executed by world class player having hundred percent confidence level. No doubt Brazil is going lose the finals. The score board rested with Gabriel Jesus's goal on the 19th minute and 2nd goal by Roberto Firmino in the 2nd half , leading to marvelous victory.
MY OPINIONS : Speaking about current team of ARG's, I cannot see the X factor neither on anyone's face nor in their heart. One cannot win matches without team spirit and team communication, which was totally absent . The current form of the ARGs is their worst till date. There are various factors which is effecting the ARGs form, some of them are as follows:
- Lionel Scaloni lack of experience and "no tactics". In every of ARGs, is see no strategy, it feels like they are playing sunday league matches.
- To much dependence on the play makers viz. Lionel Messi.
- Too much squad rotation , and no definite positions for all players.
- Lack of best midfielders. One cannot win matches without bringing the best out of the midfielders.
On the other hand the hosts are nailing it, by bring the best out of them, with superb control on the ball and with highest passing accuracy. Young players like, Arthur ,Gabriel Jesus surely going to bring out the next level of football in the upcoming years. These players are the next generation of Brazil, resting the nation in the safe hands.
NEXT FIXTURE: 2nd semifinal is between former champions Chile vs Peru.
FACTS: The 90 percent of current Brazil squad plays for the top best clubs in Europe.
